I hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology (2004) and am a registered member with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
My Approach
My style as a therapist is warm, open and accepting. I believe that one of the most important components for therapeutic change is that trust exists between the client and therapist and I always aim to create a safe space to facilitate this.
My theoretical orientation is primarily Psychodynamic, though I also utilize other modalities and frameworks in my work including:
- Trauma informed
- Attachment-based
- Person-centered
- Feminist
- Anti-oppressive
- Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioural therapy (DBT)
- Solution focused brief therapy
Areas of Expertise
The majority of my therapeutic practice has been with adolescents and adults. Some of the most common challenges I have treated clients include:
- Mental health concerns
- Relationship difficulties
